IAG leads plan to make New Zealand more resilient to natural disasters

An initiative conceived by IAG to lessen the impact of natural disasters and help communities to better recover when they occur is being launched with the support of four more businesses.

Together with IAG, Beca, BNZ, Vodafone and New Zealand Red Cross have joined forces to form ‘Resilient New Zealand’ to identify, champion and advocate ways to help make the country more resilient to natural disasters.

This will begin with the group undertaking a project called ‘The Role of Business in Recovery’ focused on improving how the private sector contributes to the economic and social wellbeing of their communities following a natural disaster.
