Insurers warn against the dangers of couchsurfing

A growing number of Kiwi travellers are using websites like Couchsurfing.org and Airbnb.co.nz to find zero or low cost accommodation overseas.  An estimated 25,000 New Zealanders are currently signed up to Couchsurfing.com, but there are concerns that homeowners and guests lack awareness about the potential risks involved in these types of arrangements.
