IAG NZ launches new State Insurance app

IAG NZ, through its direct insurance brand State, has launched ‘My State’ – a new app designed not only to help keep State-insured customers moving, but Kiwis everywhere.

The new app, which is available to download for the iPhone free of charge via the iTunes App Store, includes emergency contacts and information so Kiwis who run into trouble can get help no matter where they are in the world.

‘My State’ features emergency contacts to help Kiwis in need overseas.

GPS and a flashlight function are also available at the touch of a button for anyone unsure of their location and in need of rescue.  There’s a ‘make a claim’ function to record and submit details of a claim and a one-stop shop where all an individual’s insurance details can be stored for access anytime, anywhere.

State customers can even update their direct debit details and pay premiums, giving them peace of mind that they are always covered.  Jacqui McIntosh, National Sales and Service Manager for State, said: “We know our customers are busy people who often want to get things done while they are on the go.  Making it easy is important to us, so I’m really excited that our new user friendly app means we can help our customers wherever they are.”

Other features include an accident report tool to record the details of an accident and take pictures of any damage.  Customers can also click through to get a quote for car insurance through the app.

State customers can submit their claim via the app.

Victoria Muir, Head of Online for State, said the app is market-leading in the NZ insurance and mobile space.  “At State we keep our customers at the centre of everything we do. With ‘My State’ we’ve aimed to deliver real value by creating easy to access information and tools on your iPhone when you need them most.”

‘My State’ marks another stage in IAG NZ’s evolution in the digital space following @iagnz’s launch on Twitter in March last year in addition to this blog. Find and download ‘My State’ here.
